I have an incredible patient I’ll call “J” who is a very talented artist. Unfortunately she had a “retinal bleed”. Sometime after I saw her she brought in this piece of art for me which shows what she was experiencing visually – the “spots” in the picture is the bleeding. But amazingly she did a caricature of me with her “special visual acuity eye chart”. I was and am still speechless. It is prominently displayed in our office art gallery.

And so it begins – the interior walls going up inside our new office at 2419 – designed by Alan Ayers. Ironically the first walls to go up are for our staff lounge . . . priorities! They make us look good!
